Have you ever thought of being a film extra. The qualities are keenness, ability to be quiet when not required to utter a word, and to keep out of the way when not wanted. Oh, you have to have some control over your behaviour when asked to do something. Do not expect to become a film star; you are in the background and only needed when the director wants you. You will have to have patience as there is a lot of waiting around. Not much money either : about £71.35 a day, out of which you pay the agent 15%. You will earn more for night work, early calls, dancing, getting wet, firing a gun. For speaking fewer than ten words you get £26. You must be available at short notice and be at the studio before 6 am next day. If you have a selection of uniforms, a dinner jacket or a posh car so much the better. Still want to try, well here are the people to get in touch with.
